Everything works better with intention. That’s really the idea behind my photography.  We all try to pick up on the moments that matter. Your choice  to take a picture is your intention to share, or simply for wanting to remember.

Through my process the true planning happens ahead of time with questionnaires + consult calls. While shooting there's only slight direction in the moment in order to enjoy it as best as we know how.  It was hard not to get caught up on that more is more road when I first started. Almost every moment deserves a photo but it's more important to let it happen. It's about slowing down if we're going t0o fast so we can  embrace life  because memories are naturally sustainable.   Time's value + generosity can be measured sometimes heavier in one picture vs a hundred.
Generosity is a natural Arab ability, + it shows up in photography too. Noticing details, giving attention, + caring about what’s happening makes the work feel alive.

Sharing photos is a vulnerable act.  It's putting your vision out into the world, letting people see how you see, knowing it will be judged. For some, it’s also how you make a living, a choice that carries weight for everyone who knows you. Yet in that vulnerability, there’s freedom: the chance to show part of your unique thinking or imagination. Something we all crave when we want to be understood. .I have been working hard on translating that through colors + my editing style as well.

A loose but  true editing style is the approach. Creating black + white edits emphasizes the depth in gestures + textures. As for colors, I love to feel authentic with bold cool tones + warm soft ones. I just want to leave you with a cool photo that feels warm through soft textures.

Loud events + quiet moments can both reach indescribable depths that are temporary in the moment but are preserved by the  beauty of photos.

Intentional photography is a way of slowing down + noticing life. It adds a little essence to the occasion leaving us with photos that share emotion. With an intentional picture taking approach comes with slight guidance  allowing the moment to be. Photos  are a direct representation of a moment, a true way to communicate.
